Murphy Commits: Titans Forward Headed to Lake Forest College

New Jersey Titans forward Ryan Murphy has officially committed to Lake Forest College, taking the next step in his academic and hockey career.

The 2005-born center has competed at the junior level in the North American Hockey League this season, most recently with the Titans. Murphy has also spent time this year with the Chippewa Steel and made an appearance in the British Columbia Hockey League with the Vernon Vipers.

A 6’1”, left-shot center born in London, GBR, Murphy holds dual USA/U.K. citizenship and has steadily progressed through the North American development path. He developed at Northstar Christian Academy, where he posted back-to-back 46-point seasons at the 18U AAA level (2022-23, 2023-24), showcasing offensive consistency and leadership down the middle.

Murphy broke into the NAHL with the Watertown Shamrocks during the 2024-25 campaign before continuing his junior career this season. His ability to play a reliable two-way game, combined with size and poise at center, has positioned him well for the college level.

Lake Forest adds a mature, experienced junior forward who has competed across multiple high-level leagues and environments. Murphy’s path reflects steady growth, adaptability, and a commitment to long-term development — traits that should translate well to the next level.

PSG is proud to support Ryan and his family as he advances to the collegiate ranks.
