Capecci Earns OHL Opportunity with Sarnia Sting

Prosper Sports Group is proud to announce that client Kalib Capecci has been called up and officially signed with the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League.

Capecci, a right-shot defenseman from Sewell, New Jersey, has spent the 2025–26 season developing with the Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League, where he has taken a major step forward in his overall game. Through 34 games this season, Capecci posted 9 goals and 23 assists for 32 points, establishing himself as a reliable, puck-moving defenseman who can contribute in all situations.

Known for his strong hockey IQ, steady defensive presence, and ability to move the puck efficiently, Capecci’s progression at the junior level made him a strong candidate for the jump to major junior hockey. His offensive growth, combined with his physical maturity and right-shot profile, has translated well to higher-level competition and caught the attention of OHL scouts.

Capecci’s path has included time with Philadelphia-area AAA programs, high school hockey at St. Augustine Prep, and previous NAHL experience before finding consistency and confidence in Johnstown. His signing with Sarnia represents a major milestone in his development and opens the door to competing in one of the top development leagues in the world.
