Gravina Commits to NCAA DIII SUNY Cortland Red Dragons
Prosper Sports Group is proud to announce that defenseman Michael Gravina (2005, Colts Neck, NJ) has committed to SUNY Cortland Red Dragons NCAA Division III.
Gravina, a 6’1”, 187-pound left-shot defenseman, has taken a steady and determined path through youth, high school, and junior hockey to earn his college opportunity. A product of the New Jersey Colonials and Christian Brothers Academy, Gravina consistently developed into a reliable two-way presence on the back end.
During the 2022-23 season with the New Jersey Colonials 18U AAA program, Gravina showcased his offensive growth from the blue line, highlighted by 12 points in 13 EP Cup Series games and 21 points at Christian Brothers Academy. His ability to move pucks cleanly and contribute offensively translated into the junior ranks.
Gravina spent the 2023-24 season in the NCDC with the WB/Scranton Knights, appearing in 47 games and recording 11 points. He continued his junior career in the NAHL during the 2025-26 season, skating with the Chippewa Steel, Lone Star Brahmas, and Rochester Jr. Americans. Across those stops, Gravina demonstrated physicality, composure, and a willingness to play in all situations.
His size, compete level, and experience against high-level junior competition make him a strong addition to the SUNY Cortland program. Gravina’s commitment reflects years of steady development and persistence, earning the opportunity to continue both his academic and athletic career at the NCAA level.
PSG congratulates Michael and his family on this well-earned accomplishment.
