From the NAHL to D1: Ryan Shaw Commits to RIT NCAA Division I
Prosper Sports Group client Ryan Shaw (’05, LW) has officially committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at RIT Tigers men’s ice hockey.
The East Longmeadow, MA native has taken a steady and determined path through junior hockey, most recently breaking out with the Rochester Jr. Americans in the NAHL. After posting 25 points (9G, 16A) in 30 regular-season games during the 2024-25 campaign and adding 12 points in 12 playoff games, Shaw elevated his game even further this season.

In 2025-26, the 5’10”, 170-pound left-shot winger erupted for 65 points (34G, 31A) in 42 games thus far — establishing himself as one of the league’s most dangerous offensive threats. His ability to attack off the rush, win pucks on the forecheck, and finish in tight areas has made him a consistent impact player night in and night out.
Shaw’s development path has included stops in prep hockey at Westminster and Pope Francis, 18U AAA, the AJHL, BCHL, and NAHL — experiences that helped shape his complete 200-foot game and competitive edge.
RIT gains a mature, battle-tested forward who plays with pace and purpose. Shaw brings scoring touch, playoff experience, and a relentless motor to the Tigers’ lineup.
Prosper Sports Group is proud of Ryan’s commitment and the work he’s put in to earn this opportunity. The best is yet to come.
