Andrew Takacs Ready to Backstop Colgate for Another Big Season

Prosper Sports Group client Andrew Takacs is set to build on a strong 2025-26 campaign as he returns between the pipes for Colgate University.

The 24-year-old netminder from Bowie, Maryland has carved out a reputation as a steady and battle-tested presence in goal. Standing 6’2” and 190 pounds, Takacs brings both size and athleticism, giving Colgate a reliable last line of defense in the NCAA.

Takacs has built his game through resilience and growth, developing at Team Maryland, Gilmour Academy, and with the New Jersey Titans, where he contributed to a Robertson Cup championship. Those experiences paved the way for his arrival at Colgate, ready to compete at the Division I level.

Last season, Takacs appeared in 32 games, posting a 2.77 goals-against average, a .903 save percentage, and two shutouts while leading the Raiders to a winning record. His calm presence in the crease and ability to come up with big saves in critical moments have made him a cornerstone for Colgate’s lineup.

Now entering the 2025-26 season, Takacs looks to elevate his game even further as he anchors the Raiders in their pursuit of postseason success.
